Since the new website’s been up I’ve wanted to add a bit more video content, the last website only had examples of work. I’ve been hoping that the new site will have a bit more video to back up what we do here at Red Book Productions. I’ve concentrated mainly on the ‘Why Film’ and ‘The Red Book Way’ pages of the site, as I feel that these are the pages most in need of some video to back up what they’re saying as well as to make it more visually appealing rather than just paragraph after paragraph of text. During the whole production phase I’ll be adding the latest to the ‘Projects’ page of this site, as well as some videos as well.

Today I’ve written about my initial thoughts of what the videos will need, hopefully you can see a little of how things are done at Red Book Productions during this process.

Video Content:

Why Film?

Initial ideas for a video for use on the ‘Why Film’ page of the Red Book Productions website.

The video must answer the following questions:

  • What can video bring to your business?
  • How to find the right balance of video, text and pictures.
  • The ways to utilise video (website, YouTube, Facebook etc)
  • What Red Book Productions offer/open to new ideas
  • NOT just re-iterating what is written on the Why Film page

Ideas for the video:

  • 30-60 seconds in length.
  • Interview scenario?
  • Shots of Mark talking to clients, discussing things.
  • How many clients?
  • Tongue in cheek? OR Serious video? OR a mixture?
  • Voiceover?
  • Aim to be finished by 1st October 2012

The Red Book Way

Initial ideas for a video for use on ‘The Red Book Way’ page of the Red Book Productions website.

The video must answer the following questions:

  • The different stages of production, focussing on the way Red Book Productions manages things.

The video must not just reiterate what is already written on the page, but develop it further.

  • Will it use mainly an interview type scenario?  OR Use a storyline with voiceovers?
  • It must be around 1 – 1.5 minutes in length.
  • Can incorporate videos of previous clients, commenting on Red Book Productions’ working methods.
  • Project aimed to be completed by 1st October 2012.

That’s all for today, but please keep checking this page for regular updates throughout the production of these two videos. I’ll also be putting links on the Facebook and Twitter pages.  If you’ve got any comments or questions I’d love to hear from you.

Cheers,

Mark
