When it comes to talking on camera, it’s hard to know what’s the right tempo. Should you talk faster than usual? Or slower than usual?

In this week’s #TheVideoShow we go through what kind of things you should consider when talking on camera. For example, I don’t particularly think that you need to talk any faster or slower than usual at all, it’s all about the energy. You need to up your energy level by about 25% to keep people interested in your video.

For most people (myself very much included) if you talk at your usual energy level, people will switch off. I feel that I become a slightly more confident version of myself when I’m on camera. This doesn’t come overnight, you have to practice. If you look at my first video that I made, I’m a lot less energetic than I am now.
