Next week I’m filming Episode 79 of the Video Show, it’s a showdown of Live Video, Facebook Live vs Periscope.
I want to find out what’s best. So we’re looking at things like usability, interaction and number of views to tot up which platform is better. I’ve had experience on both platforms before, regularly using Facebook Live every week for group calls with the Video Toolkit members, and Periscope when it was released in 2015. So I’m interested to see how both work on a wider scale.
I’ve advertised both live events on their respective platforms (Periscope via Twitter) to try to keep things equal in terms of viewing figures.
