When you think of video. You think of YouTube. But that’s not necessarily the case. You shouldn’t just plonk your videos on YouTube and assume they’ll work. Like you wouldn’t just plonk your video on your website.

You really have to think about your audience and what you want them to do and feel after watching. If you’re making videos to entertain or educate then YouTube is perfect. But if you’re just explaining what your business does then you’d be better of posting that video on your website either via YouTube, Vimeo or Wistia.

The audience really is the most important thing when you make any video. Build an email list through people you meet at networking or click on your posts online and target them. Don’t rely on just posting your video. It takes a lot of hard work and failed attempts. I’m on episode 99 and I’m still thinking of ways to improve these videos and improve how I reach out to you.
